Velour Web

Case study · Luxury wedding florist · San Diego & Los Angeles

CHIC Flowers: From a 5-page portfolio to a 150-page site with a page for every venue, city and wedding style it serves.

A luxury florist featured in Vogue, Brides and Haute Living that wanted its website to match its reputation and win venue and city searches.

The challenge

Where the business started

CHIC Flowers is a luxury wedding florist featured in Vogue, Brides and Haute Living, serving San Diego, Los Angeles and Southern California. Its original site was a beautiful five-page portfolio with almost no text, so it ranked for its own name and little else while couples searched for 'wedding florist Fairmont Grand Del Mar', 'Indian wedding florist Los Angeles' and 'Temecula winery wedding flowers'.

The business also wanted to sell its expertise: an online floristry course, workshops, and a gallery system the owner could maintain herself.

The approach

What we built and why

We built a data-driven page system: services, locations, venues, styles and cultural wedding clusters (Indian, Armenian, Jewish, Arab and luxury weddings), each page with answer-first copy, FAQs with speakable schema, Place and Service schema, and related-link blocks enforced by a build-time link audit.

Tiered indexation let pages ship as noindex until their content and images were complete, then be promoted from a command line. An admin panel with password-gated image upload lets the owner add real photos to any of the SEO pages, stored in S3 and compressed automatically.

Alongside the SEO system we built portfolio galleries for dozens of events, a blog, a course platform with video lessons, quizzes, progress tracking and Stripe checkout, workshop booking and an inquiry flow that records the page each lead came from.

  • 115+ SEO pages: services, locations, venues, styles and cultural wedding guides
  • Portfolio galleries, blog and online course platform with Stripe
  • Tiered indexation and an automated internal-link audit
  • Admin panel for the owner to manage images and content

The outcome

What the business has now

  • More than 150 pages, including 115 SEO information pages: 40 venue pages, 25 cultural and regional pages, 19 ceremony pages, 22 location pages, cost and logistics guides and a glossary.
  • Every page emits full schema (Breadcrumb, FAQPage with speakable, Place, Service or Product) and passes an automated internal-link audit.
  • The owner manages images and content herself; the course platform sells and delivers lessons with Stripe and Supabase.
