Are we a good fit?
Find out in two minutes whether a website from us will pay for itself
Pick what you do and where you work, confirm three numbers you already know, and get a green, yellow or red answer with the math behind it: what one lead is worth to you, the plan we would recommend, and how many calls a month break even and return three times the cost. It is the same check we run before every proposal, and it says no when the answer is no. Prefer to talk? Call (858) 933-1860 or use the regular form.
How the colors work
Green, yellow or red, and what each one means for you
The rating starts from your industry's typical competition in San Diego County suburbs, moves one step in a city core or in Los Angeles, and then checks whether the areas you serve can plausibly produce the leads a plan needs. Red is a real answer, not a sales tactic.
Green: we can win this in months
Search your service plus your city. Most of the top ten are local businesses with under 50 reviews, or directories like Yelp.
Growth 500 or Growth 1000. The six-month billing pause applies.
Yellow: winnable, with more pages and more time
A few agencies or chains with 100+ reviews in the top ten, some directories, some ads.
Growth 1000 or Growth 2000. No billing pause; we set a 9 to 12 month horizon.
Red: we will not sell you a growth plan
Seven or more of the top ten are national aggregators or businesses with 500+ reviews, and the ads cost $50 or more a click.
We build the site and put it on Care. Growth money is better spent on referrals or ads, and we say so.
The plans, the break-even rule and the exclusivity terms are on the pricing page. The industry ratings come from the same data as the break-even box on each industry page.
FAQ
Questions about the check
What does the color mean?
Green: the top results for your service in your area are mostly small local businesses, and a growth plan usually pays within months. Yellow: a few agencies or chains with 100+ reviews compete there; winnable with more pages and a nine to twelve month horizon. Red: national aggregators and businesses with hundreds of reviews own the results; we build the site on care and do not sell a growth plan.
Is the rating final?
No. It is the typical rating from our industry data and area rules. Before any proposal we spend ten minutes on the actual search results for your service in your city and put the rating in writing. The page is right most of the time and the call decides.
What are the three numbers for?
Average job or first-year customer value, gross margin and the share of leads you close give the value of one lead. Dividing the monthly plan by that gives your break-even in calls a month, and three times that is the target we hold ourselves to.
What happens when I send the result?
It arrives as an email to us with your picks, your numbers and the rating. We reply within one business day with the written version and a proposed next step. Nothing is stored anywhere else.
Why would you tell me no?
Because a growth plan in a red category cannot clear three times its cost, and selling it anyway is selling hours. A fast site still helps a red business with branded and referral searches, so we build that and say where the growth money does better.
Can I share or prefill a result?
Yes. The choices live in the address bar, so a result can be copied and sent to a partner, and we can prefill one for you before a call.
